BIOGRAPHY

Art has always been a passion of mine since a young age. I developed a professional sense for it in my grade 10 year of high school after getting recognition for my artworks and winning competitions. The year of 2020 was when I created my most accomplished pieces, often connected to themes like social issues. In 2021, my advanced course of AP Art in grade 12 gave me an opportunity to fully dive into and explore a theme through my art styles and various mediums. 

 

I explored perfectionism and how it stems, progresses and affects the victim. My specific inquiry question that was later formed through my process was: “How can I portray behind the scenes of a perfectionist mindset while reflecting upon my personal experiences?” My pieces revolve around the standards perfectionists have set for themselves while exploring internal conflicts like self-destruction, self-centeredness, masked emotions and societal pressure.
